Christmas Night Out December 16th

On the 16th December 2010 a joint Christmas celebration will take place involving a number of Irish Cultural Institutions within the City. The community celebration is being supported by Tir Conaill Harps GAA Club, St.Roch's Irish Minstrels CCE, St.James the Great CCE, Glasgow's Padraig Pearse branch of Conrad Na Gaelige and The Harps Community Project.

The night will include performances from some of the Glasgows fantastic array of musicians, singers and bands from around the City. The proceeds of the night will go towards the 'Irish Centre Development Fund' which is supported kindly by the organisations supporting the Project, the musicians and performers who will perform free of charge and Dave Ross/ Staff of The Admiral Bar who have once again kindly provided an excellent venue.

The essence of the night is to facilitate a showcase of local talent and encourage partnership work between respective organisations in the mutual development of facilities relevant to the Irish community and society at large. Irish Centre's have proved to be fantastic community assets in respective Irish diasporic communities around the globe. Glasgow has the capacity to support such a cultural centre, serving as a community asset, run on a professional basis by the community, for the community and not for personal or corporate gain.

We hope that you are able to attend the 'Christmas Hooley' a great opportunity for a christmas night out while supporting a worthwhile cause. Tickets are priced at £5 and all proceeds will go to Irish Centre Development Fund.
