South Shinty Team Disappointment
21 March 2010

The Harps South team were disappointed by a 1-0 loss to Cowal & Bute this afternoon.  Cowal scored an early speculative goal from long distance in a first half that saw chances at both ends of the pitch.  The second half was dominated by the Harps, having 80% of the possession in front of the Cowal goal mouth, but the Harps just weren't able to convert chances into goals.  Credit has to go to the Cowal defence for staying solid under immense pressure from the Harps.

The game saw some excellent individual performances, with some players standing out for giving 110% effort.  George's choice for Player of the Match goes to the team captain Oonagh Collins, who had a brilliant game at full back.  However the team performance has lots of room for improvement, as we just didn't play for each other today.  The Harps have plenty to work on at training on Tuesday ahead of next weeks double header that sees the Harps in  a first division tie against Glengarry and a second division tie against Forth.
