St Patrick's Festival Tombola.
20 March 2012

A massive thank you to the St Patrick's day committee for allowing us to have a stand at the recent festival. It was a great day - good to see the camogie team and the youth teams helping-thanks to all those who donated to the tombola stall. In all a brilliant £750 was raised for the club so again a big thank you to all involved.

GAA Blitz
15 March 2012

On Monday 12th March Scotland GAA held a Gaelic football and Hurling blitz for primary schools from Glasgow and Coatbridge. St Mirins, St Timothys, Throntree, St Brigids and John Paul II represented Glasgow, with St Augustines and Langloan representing Coatbridge. In all, 150 pupils took part and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their competitive experience.  Results were not important as the main focus was on promoting GAA in Glasgow and Coatbridge, as well as giving children the opportunity to showcase their newly acquired skills against other schools.

The event was a great success and one which we will look to become an annual fixture within the schools calendar. GAA kits were awarded to a player from each team on the basis of fair play, team work and performance. We would like to thank Toryglen Regional Centre and all those who helped make the event a success.

27 February 2012

Please read the following piece from Scotland GAA co-ordinator Ronan Mc Carthy;

''As you are all aware, the lack of referee's is a serious problem we have in Scotland both at club and university level. A date needs to be set ASAP for a referee's course for Scotland and I propose SATURDAY 31ST MARCH 2012 IN EDINBURGH.

We would be expecting a minimum of two people from every club.

Please let me know ASAP if this date suits?

Thanks,

Ronan McCarthy''
