2007-2008 East End Schools Programme
2007 saw the start of several new initiatives including a two year plan to develop links with three primary schools in the east end of Glasgow; St Michael's in Parkhead, Our Lady of Peace in Barlanark and Thorntree in Shettleston.
Initially schools were introduced to gaelic football and camogie/hurling. Then in 2008 two schools took part in an exchange trip to Croghan, Co. Roscommon with the Croghan schools completing the exchange with their visit to Glasgow in October. The school exchange programme is part of the club's initiative to use gaelic games as a positive tool to breakdown religious and cultural barriers.
From this programme the club have launched our new U12 Camogie/Hurling Team.
